Lancôme Colour Design Awards 2003
Wishing to raise the stakes with their awards presentation, Lancôme requested an event more relevant to a contemporary audience. For an event that briefed students from the prestigious Fashion MA at Central St. Martin's to create a collection around the new Lancôme product colours of turquoise, amber and gold, massive oil drums filled with sand of those colours were suspended above the catwalk. Throughout the presentation, the sand fell from tiny holes pierced into the drums, forming pyramids of the inspirational colours for the event's spectacular finale.
